UNESCO is the historical partner of MuseumWeek, since 2016. UNESCO supports MuseumWeek because it fosters global cultural dialogue and highlights the role of museums in education and innovation. The event promotes inclusivity by connecting institutions worldwide through creative digital engagement. It aligns with UNESCO’s mission to preserve cultural heritage and encourage access to culture for all.

Global Network of Water Museums

In May 2024, the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET) and the Culture For Causes Network (C4C) announced a partnership to enhance water awareness during MuseumWeek 2024. Both organizations emphasized the importance of understanding and preserving water ecosystems and heritage as essential for sustainable living. They recognized the need to increase digital engagement on this critical issue and planned to launch joint initiatives during MuseumWeek 2024, particularly on #WaterMW day, June 8th.

Quartier Art Drouot

In 2019, during its partnership with MuseumWeek, the Quartier Art Drouot initiative celebrated the artistic heritage of the Drouot district with exhibitions and cultural activities. As part of this collaboration, Galerie Drouot, in partnership with the Fondation GoodPlanet, organized a special prize ceremony attended by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, highlighting their shared commitment to art and environmental awareness.

Casa Batlló

MuseumWeek partnered with Casa Batlló in 2022 around the exhibition "Reconciliation with the living" displayed in Paris at the UNESCO HQ. The partnership led to the exclusive display of the "Living Architecture: Casa Batlló" artwork from Refik Anadol, the famous Turkish-American new media artist.

Talkwalker, a social listening and analytics company, is partnering with MuseumWeek every year to measure its impact on social media. By analyzing online conversations and engagement, Talkwalker provided valuable insights into MuseumWeek's reach and influence. For instance, in 2019, their analysis revealed that MuseumWeek had a more significant social media presence than other cultural events like the International Museum Day and the European Night of Museums.  This collaboration enabled MuseumWeek to understand its audience better and optimize its communication strategies.

MuseumWeek partnered with Phenix on the occasion of the exhibition "Reconciliation with the living". It led to the urban displaying of the exhibition on 1350 connected screens in the streets of France. Phenix is a street and social media company.
