"Museums and heritage sites are more than places of conservation and display: they are dynamic cultural spaces where people, histories and identities meet. In an increasingly interconnected yet polarized world, cultural institutions have a vital role to play in fostering dialogue, mutual respect and intercultural understanding. Material objects and collections carry stories that transcend borders and generations, offering powerful entry points for conversations about shared history and memory and fostering a sense of belonging to a common humanity. The webinar will bring together academics and practitioners to explore how heritage spaces can serve as catalysts for intercultural dialogue and learning, discuss the role of heritage and material culture in connecting people across cultures and generations, and highlight international experiences and innovative approaches that position museums and heritage sites as platforms for intercultural exchange.
