Museums and heritage sites as platforms for dialogue and intercultural understanding
Museums and heritage sites are more than places of conservation and display: they are dynamic cultural spaces where people, histories and identities meet. In an increasingly interconnected yet polarized world, cultural institutions have a vital role to play in fostering dialogue, mutual respect and intercultural understanding. Material objects and collections carry stories that transcend borders and generations, offering powerful entry points for conversations about shared history and memory, and fostering a sense of belonging to a common humanity.
This webinar brings together academics and practitioners from five countries to explore how heritage spaces can serve as catalysts for intercultural dialogue and learning — discussing the role of material culture in connecting people across generations, and highlighting innovative approaches that position museums and heritage sites as platforms for intercultural exchange.
The session will feature the presentation of the Live Museum…
