Who tells the story of science? A conversation with the UNESCO Virtual Science Museum
Launched in December 2025, the UNESCO Virtual Science Museum is a free, multilingual digital platform co-built with scientific institutions and museums worldwide. It brings together diverse scientific perspectives across cultures, grounded in the idea that science, as a global public good, must be narrated collectively.
This session introduces the platform and its vision, within the framework of the United Nations International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024–2033) and the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science (2021).
